"A work of fiction that will feel chillingly real to many women."

...Chanel Contos, Founder of

Teach Us Consent

Didn't office sex pests go extinct along with the tea lady?

Apparently not.

At 63, Valerie is no longer a target for the busy hands and off-colour jokes of office gropers. But when a young colleague is sacked for reporting her boss's sleazy conduct, Valerie goes into battle, and in so doing she dredges up her own traumatic memories of sexual abuse. After a lifetime of being a 'good girl', it's time to unleash 'Bad Valerie'.

"(van) Zeller has crafted a calm, unshowy novel of female friendship and solidarity in the face of victimisation.

The characters are relatable; the situation faced is all too familiar.

Winningly, Zeller’s #MeToo novel refuses to slide into didacticism, charming with a healthy dose of dry wit,

anger at injustice, and a rousing portrayal of a woman finding the courage to stand against it."

...Cameron Woodhead, The Sydney Morning Herald
