A Little About Me

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, I have spent over half my life in Perth, forging a long career in professional writing and editing. For years I wanted to pursue creative writing projects of my own, but it was not until 2009 that I was able to pursue any of them to fruition. I enrolled in a creative writing program at Curtin University and came out with an historical novel, a doctorate, and opportunities to teach writing subjects. "Valerie" is a contemporary exploration of topics that mean a lot to me: women supporting women and using the power of their voices to push back against gender-based discrimination and sexual violence.
